Not that strange. Different firmwares can have different default settings. I’m certain that firmware gesture results in shorter screen on after wrist gesture

Hi KW88, Launcher 2.1.1 I observe that when reboot is made in specific state (like GSM ON, WIFI ON) - after smartwatch reboot all works ok but when I change one parameter, like in example GSM to OFF - I'm loosing ability to change watchface -I may click 'change skin' and select other watch face but watch will revert with previously selected face. It looks that any change to setup that changes the graphics (like enabling FlightMode fires the 'airplane' icon) - destroys something in the launcher engine
Hi Ricktop, i experienced the same problem that Tomek is talking about.
when i put .watch clockskin… so of them will face dicculty to change to new skin … now i stuck at one skin
… long press and double touch also no action… what happen ?
In fact, it looks like going into the settings part of the launcher makes the clock going mad, Whatever you do… I’ll try to find why.
yawa check if there is .trace file and what timestamp it has (I think that launcher somehow restarted itself or was forced to restart by OS - maybe .trace is evidence to that)

I’ve already uploaded the trace file yesterday in the evening, nameless - it was the last one. Just checked again. Well, the file from yesterday had a timestamp 00.49, the last one was 01.00 (pls find attached), but it’s pretty the same.
Ricktop, can you add a feature for the test version to force a stop and restart the launcher?

It looks like a "pendant" to my crash file. In your file it's about to "unable to start activity", while my file explained that the launcher was unabled to destroy it
I’m not sure what I’ve done (if anything at all) but all of the sudden my watch was in English (well I did switch my phone to English but that’s pure coincidence). I’m not even sure when did it happen. Some 5hrs ago it was in Polish (at that time I started a thread on BT tethering and I do rememeber polish names in settings). Sometime I ago it hit me that date and such are in English on my watchface.
Funny part is that before tried couple of times to switch it to English but it lasted only till reset. This time tho it survived restart but now I’m unable to change watch face and the one I had is heavily damaged (missing date, battery stuck at 50%, negative step count)
I’ve got .trace file but it’s almost identical to the one yawa posted (one difference is that mine points to line 1790 of ContextImpl.java and yawa’s - points to line 1789)

PS.
Yesterday I’ve updated firmware to the latest one - 20170328). Till now I had no problem.
Eric, these two .watch face files show blank when selected. They are not protected. These used to work.

facerepo.com/app/faces/details/digital-flight-instrument-14fa0075b51
after install battery calibration app seen like the battery very stable and last longer
buddyrm which version of Eric’s launcher are you using? On 2.1.1 they both work.
samsungxp could you be more specific as to which app you used?
(after another restart watch started to behave like it should and is still in english )

Regarding language issue: I’m not sure whether it’s about the launcher or OS, but I have the same problem. Well, I live in Germany and I’ve added my Google account on the watch. Another smartphone running with this account is configured with German. I’ve already tried many times to switch the watch to English. Well, it worked, but after a while my watch turned to German again. Not an issue for me, just strange …
So Eric, I have a few questions in regards to WatchMaker .watch files and use in your launcher.
1 = Does the launcher read the standard dim mode settings for faces?
2 = Does it read all the customized script using math, scaling, switching or other variables that are not tweens driven that developers use to create animations, movements of hands, color changes, hand set switches, zooming, rotations etc., or just the standard lua tags?
3 = Does this work with locked .watch files and locked apk’s of .watch faces for sale on the play store?
4 = And finally Did you get permission from Alex Curran who developed the WatchMaker app to use his proprietary code, or is this a work around and not using any of his coding? The reason I ask is he has repeatedly stated he would not release the WM app for the non wear watches and just curious.
Crappy Tapatalk can’t delete or edit own post
Anyway I’m not Eric but…
Ad.1 yes it does. It probably operates a bit different. You can switch to dim using menu
Ad.2 implementation is not full I think so there might things not working there. Please consult opening post
Ad.3 No and it’s clearly stated in opening post
Ad.4 i didn’t see line of code but from what I gathered it’s written from scratch. It doesn’t allow you to create watch faces just displays them on watch. There’s no need to have WM app to create those faces. Simple text editor will do
Nameless, yes creating in a editor from scratch can be done, I am not saying it can’t. The .watch files are what I am asking about. As a developer for WM I know I don’t want my faces being used on any platform unless it functions 100% as designed and created to be for the specific program or app. I develop for everything except Non Wear, and know in the past that none of my watchmaker faces would function the same on these devices, so I preferred they didn’t wind up on them. As a developer I want anything I create to work as intended, and I have worked with a few of the coders on here in the past to convert some and not a single one came close to the functionality of the original designs. I am trying to learn from Eric exactly what can and can’t work with this launcher and wm created .watch files to see if there is progress since then.

Nameless answers are correct, i’m not trying to make any concurrent app and i’m not promising full compatibility. I’m just trying to make access to all those skins on a platform that is not supposed to work with them.

Thanks for the reply. So is it safe to say that a basic face with no scripting other than the general lua tags for main hands should work without issue? I don't make faces like that normally but have a few that have just multiple color choice options that are replicas. I'll talk to Pablo about testing one of my normal scripted designs to see if it can run. Most faces I create especially the combo designs have tap actions to cycle through as many as 15 different digital complications, multiple dim colors, multiple dim activation times, multiple dial colors, multiple hand styles, custom seconds hand movements, zooming, functional rotating bezels, etc. all on a single face without a menu system. Everything is right on dial.
