Universal Launcher New Generation [2.x]

when back to last version, because its not working properly, didnt do a clean unnistall, and still seeing like a round or circular shadow black screen, everytimes when the watch goes to differents pages, but the good thing about the Eric launcher,i dont know if its the frameworks, when back to the original launcher and suddenly i am getting all the notifications, the M2D app, working good, even getting the phone calls,i mean the number or the person who is calling, the WiiWear app,its shows too some notification,so i am happy so far with this strange situation, that i dont want change nothing in my watch, but i am missing all the feature of the Eric launcher.
I am going to wait for this launcher when its working good.
i just want to say something

I'd suggest you to install 2.1 version. Probably won't solve all bugs but maybe some of them Don't know if you seen it but Eric was able to recreate some (if not all) of those problems and narrow them down to non-debug version of cocos library (apparently debug version is doing just fine. He is still investigating it. Also it's probably easier for Eric when bugreports regard current version (he doesn't need to backtrack in source code version too much).

About battery I think it tries to enter power saving mode which is not supported by Eric’s launcher. It displays bright white screen instead and that can drain battery pretty fast

today my battery show 60% but suddenly off.then i start charge and it show 0

I have installed 2.1 version and there were same bugs for me. Also battery draining was bigger. About battery, I know that Eric’s launcher doesn’t support power saving mode. But my watch is set to goes to power saving mode on 5% not 20%, and it doesn’t show white or any other screen but it just turns off, and when I connect cable to charge it it shows 1%. Sometimes it goes beyond 20%. I think that there is calibration or battery status update problem, not power saving mode.
Sorry for bugreports about older version, but I think that 2.0.10 is still live and there for download.

Absolutely OK, no drain or something.

ok mean wat ? 12hr ? 1 day ?

2 days with turned on bluetooth.

Hi guys,
Sorry for this a little bit off-topic and newbie question.

Which is the best notification APP (getting notifications from the phone via BT) to use with Eric’s Universal Launcher?

Thanks,
Touche

leafar , so you're running M2D and WiiWear and you're happy? Do I need to install M2D Bluetooth Manager + M2D Sender on my smartphone, and M2D receiver on the watch, right? I'm looking for an alternate way to get my notifications user friendly on the watch while the Eric's Launcher will be improved

yawa
Yes,and do all the set up,like in the video for the app,two thing, try disable location in the watch and the phone, because this, put all the time both devices searching for connection no good for the battery, look in play store for an app called tethering shortcut for the Watch to use Bluetooth tethering. You know for sure for a little bit for battery drain.
So all depend in you Smartphone, features,in my case i do have a LG V10,running the M2D Bluetooth manager and the sender, with all the set up and location disable GPS and bluetooth tethering on and WiiWear and my Watch the M2D Bluetooth manager and the receiver and location off and done. I am getting almost everything but no well the messaging, get WhatsApp,Gmail, phone call/end. just try.
The M2D App use debugging in both.
Other thing remember to do the applications that you want as priority in notification settings

ricktop here is a trace I’ve seen before I’m not sure what I was doing (probalby switching wifi or bt) then there was some glitch and watchface went crazy. I have white circular strip at the outer edge (you can see the watchface in the screenshot with negative step counter) after that glitch this strip started chanigng colors (there is no color changing for this in xml file) I couldn’t switch to another watchface, couldnt’ switch to dim mode etc. I had to reset

btw this color changing actually looked kinda fun I think I’ll try to add it (with some on/of switch)

Hello ebroker,

you wrote:

“HELP! I can no longer get to the Display settings to change the font on a KW88 (running current firmware) and Clockskin Launcher. I have Setting Search also installed but in both the native settings app and Settings Search, when I select Display, it just bounces out to the app list.”

Try this: open Settings Search app - open Accessibilty and switch off Large text.

Et voilĂ , back is your Display option in both the Settings Search app and in your regular Settings.

Don’t ask me why, though. I had the same problem and you installing the Big Font app as a solution, triggered me to perform this “if it doesn’t work it won’t hurt either” approach. It worked. At least for me it did.

Hope it does for you.

BTW I’m on 2.1 now, after testing 2.0.7 and 2.0.10 - Lemfo Les1.

2.1.1 version is uploaded, hope it solves skin change issues and freezes.

just testing a few minutes of 2.1.1, I feel the faceskin respond is faster, the round icon displays still have switch left.
The battery percentage is updated. In 2.1 is 61%,after install it and reboot, the perrcentage change to 29% only.

ricktop
Just installed and first thing I saw is that you corrected {blp} and {wm}! Thx!
Have you also looked at {dtp}, {wsrp} and {wssp} (I think I reported them not behaving correctly - I will check it tomorrow)
Once again thanks for your work! (and recover fast from that injury)
Best regards,
N.

Using 2.1.1 my battery consumption on my Finow X5+ went up significantly…roughly 10% per hour so I’ve stepped back to version 2.1 which seemed to be running perfectly on my X5+ anyway. I was getting 48+ hours on a single charge under 2.1.

Many thx for the new version, dear ricktop! Testing … changing watch skins is working good so far! And I could not reproduce the battery drain reported by stevef on my DM368/LF16/l3.

If I try to select does not supported skin, the app crashed.
If selected quad mode of applications, after restart of launcher they show skin in quad mode (left-top coordinate in application area)

ricktop, still happy with the new version! And all notifications arrive on time, I didn’t miss any notification so far. Well, the only thing I still miss - I guess, you know that - the watch should not only vibrate and go on, when a new notification has arrived, but it should jump directly to this notification and show it. Sometimes it works, but only “sometimes” … Could you fix it pls?

Well, well, dismissing notifications through swiping them would be perfect as well, but … step by step

It doesn't support power saving mode, like the original. Can you please add that? If it's possible of course.

I have the IQI I3.

I’ve been looking for a solution to the power saving mode as well.  If I switch to the stock launcher on my KW88 and use power saving mode, I only use about 3% battery life per 24 hrs.  (I had posted earlier that I have not tested this to see how many total days I could get… but its alot!)

For practicality, I use Power Savings mode mostly at night and then the watch charges up pretty quickly in the morning since I’ve only used about 50% battery for the day.

Right now I’m using Launcher Switcher play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kr.mobilefirst.launcherswitcher&hl=en to go back and forth between Eric’s Universal Launcher and the stock launcher.  I have the same face loaded in both, so its pretty seamless.  The main thing I lose on stock is the custom widgets.

You won't be able to reproduce it - it's a completely different watch.

Bigger battery draining with new version, same as 2.1. I can’t see any other improvements. I don’t say that there aren’t any, but for things and skins that I use on KW88 I think 2.0.10 is better. It has lower battery consumption, any other things are same for me. I use my watch as standalone device, not connected to mobile phone. Also, I’m using the launcher without administrative permissions, so I can stop it and restart it, because it doesn’t work well after watch been rebooted.
