I have installed the Clockskin Launcher in my kw88. It is so much better than the default launcher.
I have two minor issues:
- I cannot remove widgets. Long click does not work
- Widgets are static and do not update
Despite these two issues the launcher is great! thanks!

On AndroidWear are great notes - you can send it from phone - it’s possible on D5?
ricktop, on my kw88 the gsm indicator bars show nothing.
Are supposed to turn blue according to the strength of the gsm signal but nothing happens.

It will be helpful if you will add an “Okay Google” detection on the home screen.

Awesome job on the launcher Rick! Using it with greatness with the kw88 so far. Now i’m able to use many awesome watchfaces that weren’t available for the kw88 and get the other dials to work too. For those not familiar with the kw88, the custom watchfaces other dials (battery, dates etc) don’t work with kw88’s original launcher.
One thing though is that i can’t get the “gesture of screen on raising” original kw88 watchface to change to a new watchface. It still uses the original watchface. I tried deactivating the gesture via > settings > gesture > raise to top, before installing the clockskin launcher. Then installing the kw88 version 1.0.5.2 (and also tried 1.0.6) but it still reverts to the original kw88’s launcher “screen on raising” watchface. Please do help me out if i’m missing any steps here? Maybe there’s another way to deactivate the screen on gesture first?

I’m afraid i cant help you on this, you did it right by deactivating the original auto on and activating my auto on, it should have worked like some of you have reported. Help should came from them.

I’ll keep that in mind for sound, but activating ok Google will consume too much, i prefer to keep it in the widget.

Hello Rick, is there a chance in the next release to be able to change the default wallpaper of notification screen? That would be nice.
By the way plateau all versions that Rick created (1.5 and 1.6) for KW88 work fine with the movement gesture feature displaying your selected watch face. Probably try to uninstall the launcher, disable gesture in settings and then install the launcher again with the original (default) gesture set to off. Then try to switch it on with the Rick’s mini settings top bar. if not working then try to enable the original in settings, check that it works and displays the original digital clock and then disable it and it should work.
Ok i may need some help from you guys. It seems that after i uninstall the clockskin launcher, the kw88 is stuck with the swimming pool background image and no way out. I can get to the recent apps page (when holding power button) but since i don’t have any recent apps open, i can’t seem to get anywhere? Just to reboot and it goes to the same swimming pool background page. i can also hook up the watch to my computer via usb and see it’s files but that’s about it. Help!
Should i flash it or something? is there a guide to flashing the watch?
Edit:ok so it seems that after deleting the launcher, it isn’t defaulting back to the original launcher’s defaults. Not sure how i can change it now though. I can still receive notification sounds and all but can’t seem to access it since i can’t get to the default launcher homepage. Hope that i made sense.
Edit 2: Found a workaround which is to flash one of the firmwares via sp flash tool and it got the watch to factory reset itself to the flashed firmware. Lesson learned and i’m glad that it’s not money down the drain. Gonna download Ricktop’s launcher again now.

There’s a way to switch the screen on raising gesture via a top bar? Is it the “Hand Bright Screen” thing? If not, please do show me the light.
I might be missing this method as i still can’t get the gestures to work for custom clockfaces.
I tried installing swlauncher-1.0.6.apk on the Omate Rise, but the ‘install failed’? Has anyone managed to install it on thier Rise? Sorry if this has already been discussed.
Some updates to report. Watch kw88.
Screen on raising gestures:-
- I got the screen on raising to work. Disable the gesture via settings and it automatically works. Downside is that it’s not consistent compared to the default screen on raising gesture. For the clockskin launcher gestures, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
- If i disable the default gesture via settings, i won’t get notifications at the watch. Sound notifications are there but the screen one’s i will have to scroll to see it, compared to the notifications automatically showing on the screen if i turn on the default screen on raising gesture. Edit: Solved by disabling “restrict app background”.
- I am using the sinwear app. Will report later on for m2d or if there are others already using it can report in.
Sound toggle via the top bar
- The sounds will automatically get disabled if i selected the vibrate function and vice versa if i toggle the silent feature. Not much of a big deal since it’s still workable, only it’s opposite.
I think that’s it for now. Will report if i find other bugs.

- vibrate on/off
- sound on/off/volume
- notif popup yes/no
that makes three buttons instead of one.
What do you think ?

Edit: One feature that i would upvote for is to have the swipe to dismiss notification. I believe that this has been requested by other kw88’ers as the default launcher has this swipe to dismiss notification feature. Very convenient as it just takes one swipe to dismiss vs having to tap twice to dismiss.
