I have also fallen for scams.

Here’s another one that was too good to be true. I got one just in the odd chance it was real but within a day or so, and not hearing anything responses from the seller I was pretty sure it was a scam. Luckily I used a temporary/one-time-use credit card number (service offered by my credit card company) so the seller can’t use my payment information. The seller’s profile is gone now. I still haven’t gotten my order (once I changed my mind and was about to cancel the order I saw it was already shipped) so it will be interesting to see what I get. And hopefully I can get a refund, if not through DHGate, at least through my credit card company.
