Newbie who needs help!

Hi everyone!
I just bought a LEMT V1.4
I was hoping to use it to read text messages, use facebook messanger and answer calls from my Samsung Galaxy Note. Is that not possible? Is there any hack around if it is not standard?
I have seen references to “rooting” a watch. Is that hard, and would it help?

Any help would be appreciated!
