I will be honest, they are charging 200$+ for this device via their official store, for this price I expect them to do a proper QC (for transparency for others who don’t know I bought it for 152 directly).
The fact that even my replacement unit has this issue just disappoints me further, to be honest I was expecting it to just show up and I would finally enjoy it.
It is a strange issue I have to admit
I don’t believe anyone else has reported this problem with the Z40.
It is important that people who have this issue report it to the brand they purchased from, otherwise nothing will be done about it.
It seems likely that a batch of the rear sensor assembly may be affected.
So your options are to ask for a refund or another replacement, but it is possible that the next replacement may have the same problem.
These parts are purchased by the factory in large quantities, as you can imagine.
My point being that it seems to be only the sensor array that is affected. Otherwise the camera lens would definitely have condensation as well.
This indicates that the sensor assembly could have been sealed with this problem during manufacturing.
Have you checked that nothing else has been affected?
It seems likely that it is only the sensors.
It might be worth reporting this fact to Lemfo and they can ask the factory to investigate.
I will also let them know what I think about this particular issue.
Oh yeah I am saying the same thing, this is not a global fog, it is only affecting the sensor hub and its seal has issues.
I am pretty sure this watch is from the same batch as they shipped me a watch from their stock. This is definitely something to investigate and if me and you can do something, I am in for help.
@pablo11 I was provided the 1.6 FW to test, glad to announce that Sleep monitoring works as needed.
I have additionally talked with Maria and she said the factory checked the recent stock and all glue was alright but mishaps could happen, so under that argument I have agreed with her to send my current replacement back for a new (3rd one is a charm they say!) one which would be checked before sent.
Oh, I thought you were saying that it didn’t work for you?
I have been working with the firmware guys in China for a fix for this, thinking that it was still broken
Ok thanks
Well, it just goes to show that I should have tested it myself… Save myself from wasting my time
