I just upgraded the firmware on my D5. That was a huge success. Earlier I’ve been struggling to hold the battery alive through my workday. Today I unplugged the watch 7:00 in the morning, and now, 14 hours later, it still has over 70 %. Amazing! The watch have been connected to my phone via Bluetooth all day.
Could you do the same to the Finow X5?
I don’t know. If it uses the same firmware that th D5 I can’t understand why not. Maybe someone else in the forum can answer you’re question?
How did you come on this firmware …mine is
It’s the same I have installed. And yes, the battery it’s improvement and better. You can see here: https://plus.google.com/109697702133513112313/posts/NBAJg4WtvDD
@Andreas_Haugen Do you upgrade by OTA or by a flash tool?
Flash tool only for these watches
It’s very odd that you didn’t notice that this firmware has been here in the firmware section since 1st of June. We tested them and the best was the X3 version. I posted that one as it was the most stable for connectivity and battery life.
This can be flashed on the X3, D5, K9 and X1 just don’t flash the preloader and use download mode in SP tool.
This could be done to x5 newest edition black…build xxx524 or not?
Hi guys. Where can I find the best rules about flashing a D5? I need to try this latest firmware since my battery works badly. I hoped to update the firmware via smartwatch but I understand that it will never be possible…
@Luigi_Pachi all the information you need is here
when we click on the information you guided us to it takes us no where!!!
either we got a useful information on the questions or Not please.
Many of us are just very good users and we want to share information.
@Khalid_Naji I had no idea that would not work - very strange. So you guys can’t see the list down the left hand side of the main page - where the sections are either?
There is a FAQ & Guide section there - I was trying to link you to it.
Maybe you are using the new Google + ?
Anyway for the X5 - this is the latest and you cannot flash any other Xseries Firmware on the X5:
Here is the video for flashing this firmware: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LwAim6zER4
And here is the newest firmware dated 2016-05-24:

If you scroll down the page you will see a video posted by Loki and a video posted by SmartWatchTicks about flashing firmware.
I just manage to update the firmware yesterday. From morning unplugged till now, 4hrs had past. The battery had drained 30%. To me is still the same.
