I don’t know if it’s me or all these recent updates… now I can’t connect my D5 (via USB) to my Windows 10 PC… :frowning:
Is anybody else having problems?

Yes I had the same problem. Here’s a .inf file I got from the Microsoft help site:

"The problem is solved.

Right click and click on install the attached file.

Worked for me, the watch shows up in file Explorer and I can access the storage just fine.

And there I was thinking that I was the numpty…

@Copeland When I right click it says that it’s an audio file (?)… where do I put it?

Oh you just download it, when you right click there should be an option at the top of the list to install.

With me yes. I had already had an identical problem and the support from Microsoft was what recommended for me.

@Copeland Downloaded the file… installed… but still can’t connect either my D5 or KW88 via USB :frowning:

I’ve just managed to get my KW88 sorted… but still no luck on the D5…

I fixed mine by going in and select update driver in device manager. Chose drivers already installed and under Android phones select the third driver (normally the last) in the list.
Works every time buy has to be done regularly …

Is this your original D5?

The other thing is you cannot use USB 3 ports for the watch and have you tried other ports ?

D5 OTA in mid September…
D5 “Black Screen of Death”…
Flashed D5 to older firmware…
KW88 arrived towards end of September…
Windows 10 update at end of September…
USB issues with both watches…
KW88 resolved…
D5 remains a problem…
I’m trying different USB ports and hub… I’ve uninstalled the D5 and the hub… hub okay and KW88 uses it…
And… when I connect my D5 dock and watch it says “USB connected” and charges okay…

Ahh - go to the notification screen on the D5. Swipe right when connected.
One of the notifications should say “USB connected”
Tap on that and chose MTP.
Worth a try
