Hi all,
Ive just got the Kospet Hope 4G smartwatch and first impressions are great.
I mainly bought it for fitness purposes and I am trying to migrate my fitness stats to better health apps like strava or wear OS etc but nothing seems to work.
I have a Huawei phone and can’t migrate it to their app too. Does anyone know of any fitness apps where it works?
The wii watch 2 app is rubbish for fitness data as it refers to check the watch which is useless as I want a history backlog and visualised.
Also do you know if this watch has offline (none 4G) GPS tracking?
Thanks

That’s why I bought the watch.
I have a Sony Xperia phone. Unfortunately, I have no good experiences.
Does not work:
Strava, FunDo, Gilderun, VeryFitPro, Moto Body, Asus ZenFit, Mi Fit, Fitbit, Lifelog, SenseMe.
I have also tried many sleep monitoring apps. Useless.
If you were successful, please share it with me.

Mine doesn’t work (doesn’t lock). I’m hoping next firmware upgrade will solve this problem

Mine doesn’t work (doesn’t lock). I’m hoping next firmware upgrade will solve this problem
1.) GPS Status & Toolbox can reset / redownload AGPS data, so you can get a GPS lock in a few seconds.
2.) I use GPS Logger to record my walks, it’s free without ads.
Both apps has a lot of functionality.
BTW, the Kospet Hope isn’t a fitness watch, it’s more like a novelty item, so I have an Amazfit Stratos for fitness purposes.
BUT the Kospet Hope could easily be a great fitness watch with opening the firmware to let the community develop a proper ROM.
Agreed…
Open the firmware so we can build on it.
This watch can be so useful!

I can confirm that in built GPS does work for my watch without any 4G, WiFi or phone connection.
Regarding fitness apps and monitoring, I downloaded Google fit, Strava and Sports Tracker Running and Cycle (used mainly by Suunto devices). All of these apps worked well with GPS without any phone or 4G connection.
Google fit did not update runs with the Google fit app on my phone (Huawei Mate 20 Pro) which was really weird. I also dual ran with my phone when I ran and there was a difference in km recorded with Kospet showing less by a fairly sized % amount.
Has anyone tested Kospets distance and other fitness stats accuracy? Would be very useful and appreciated.
Strava updates runs perfectly with the Strava app on my phone.
However Strava is limited in varied activities tracking so I downloaded Sports Tracker Running and Cycle app on the watch and its THE BEST. Has a ton of activities tracking, graphs, info is laid out better and you can do lap recording. It also updates results perfectly to the app on my phone. It integrates Spotify really well too. This is defo the one I’ll be using.
This has taken me absolutely ages to find a one fit all which updates perfectly on the phone app. Hope this helps!!!
Just oneee last thing (like Columbo…), does anyone know how to get the Heart rate monitor to work when using these fitness apps i.e. Sports Tracker Running and Cycle/Strava/Google fit as mines not registered anything, always nil.
Cheers
Does this watch have NFC capability? Can it download G pay?
Thanks

I am 99% sure the Kopset Hope does not have NFC capabilities.
As for heart rate monitoring, I’m assuming you have checked to see if it actually works on the watch via the included app? I know there is a setting in Universal Launcher, enabling the heart rate monitor for continuous monitoring. Maybe that is turned off?

If you check the details of this Sports tracker running… app in the store, it has a topic heart rate monitoring, where they refer to a separately sports tracker bluetooth heart rate monitor you can buy.
so not sure it’s compatible with the heart rate monitoring of the watch.
Newman_ I use this.
HeartOnTop - The heart rate tracker and monitor (play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=inc.makerbob.sbobka.heartontop)
Try it yourself.

Thanks Robert, it works perfectly. Do you know if the data analysis is by time and on a graph and not just hi, lo, avg etc.
All the other heart rate apps don’t seem to use the watch built in sensor!

As has been discussed and examined on this forum many times, it is difficult to recommend how, you alecar11, can save battery. The reason is no two people use their watches exactly the same. Anyone would have to observe your use of the watch, to know where to offer help. That said there are some things that could help. For one I rarely use Gesture, what you call "rotation activation." It is a big battery user. I also use "display brightness" app that lets me adjust the brightness from any screen, so I am always at minimum brightness needed. I use Hibernation Manager to turn off apps when the watch is asleep. These are just some options. You could get more suggestions from reading the many boards on this forum that address battery life. I normally get about 24+ hours from a charge depending on how I use the watch during that period. It comes from Good Battery Management and is necessary, with the size of the battery, to get desirable use of your watch. You have to remember this is not your phone with its 4000 Mah battery.
you can tell me how to install the apk applications after inserting them in the device I can not install them, even giving the permissions, this happened to me a few days before it worked, I also disassaged several recently installed aplications.

Hey all, new Kospet hope watch owner here. I actually really like the watch, and am getting some nice battery life with it so far. Just a few questions that I hope someone can help with.
How do I change kg to lbs and cm’s to inches, in the fitness tracker, and general settings?
Also, wasn’t there a way to go to a square screen when using an internet browser or app? I downloaded google chrome for the watch, and when I go to log in, the “advance” button after selecting my account to sign in is off of the screen, so I cant move forward. Overall though, it’s quite a bit nicer than I expected.

You can change to square screen by pressing the upper button for like 2 seconds; there’s a button on the top of the display to swap between round and square display.
About the units of measurement I don’t really know, maybe you can change them in WiiWatch 2.
