I cant ask this in the firmware thread since thats lock but If I was flashing the watch and have the /user folder unchecked would all my data and installed apps be saved?

you do'nt want to do that cos the firmware can act weirdly it is always recommended to flash on reseted device so that it works perfectly.

1. make sure that everything on sp f.tool is ready: locate the file txt. and then select the right option download only or upgrade.

press download.

make sure the cable is connceted to the pc (not with the watch connect.

after all this make sure the watch is powerd off and then connect via the cable to pc, and flashing should start after that.

If you are upgrading the firmware then you must flash using the upgrade firmware option.
It is best to backup your user-data by the method that suits you best - search Google for backup MTK user-data.
Then flash your watch.
