Orbiting the Earth… add an addition rotate_second layer, as the base layer… what ever is on that layer can be seen through the other layers… but an incomplete solution…

@Andrew_Somers Proposal for the layout… Moon static but shows phases… still room for an orbiting “Easter egg”… Nasa style font (?) and I have another idea that I’ll mock up…

My other ideas seems unfeasible…
Haha, did I misspell tweak, anyway, I’m done with Miley.
Yeah the Moon’s not quite a pendulum, but similar, It does go off the screen a bit, so I think it looks OK. I like the idea of a smaller back Moon.
There’s no way I can think of to have multiple things rotating unless they are spatially separated (I didn’t actually use the word space ), I just got away with it by putting the Moon in a different plane.
I like the NASA layout, it’ll make a workable watch.
I feel that less is more… it’s an interesting design with a couple tricks so it might be about done…
Extras (if needed) could be an orbiting satelite/space station (overkill?)… or how about a moving/rotating star field… if it rotated at (say) 90deg to the Earth then the masking wouldn’t be as tricky - there might only be a modest cheat to conceal…
And the bottom left quadrant could contain battery etc…
Any thoughts?
we could blink the stars, but I agree less is more, don’t want it too busy
@Andrew_Somers Here’s something approaching a completed skin:

It’ll fit on a round and a round-with-corners watch face…
Where next… streaking comets?
I didn’t tidy up the graphics after moving the Earth towards the bottom right of the frame… I used a simple mask to fill the hole in the space time continuum…
It’s now on my watch and it looks gooood… we can congratulate ourselves and thank you…
It does look pretty cool. We didn’t put in clouds, but I think it looks nice and neat without then. The Earth2 skin from @Piotr_Blazewicz has a comet which looks good, shouldn’t be hard to do.
Congratulations to us and thank you.
I thought about clouds but it started to look cluttered… if the clouds/weather is too subtle it just disappears… but it’s an option
Are you ready to release it to the people of planet Earth?
Yes, I think we should set it free.
I’ve been thinking of other ideas, maybe do some variations later
